Since the last review is from 2003, I can venture to say that a more up to date one is in order. In the recent year, Thousand Oaks Bowl has completely remodeled the seating area around the lanes. These lanes are very well maintained by friendly staff who will help you with anything you need. The annoying ""Open"" animation that the previous reviewer described has since been done away with.
High competition leagues take place on Thursdays (for adults), with most of the bowlers averaging in the mid-200s. Kids of all ages can get in on the fun on Saturday mornings in the (very well managed) BRC Kids League.
Overall, these lanes are among the best in San Antonio. The staff is friendly, the lanes are well maintained, and the whole facility is very well managed.
