Although I've lived in Austin for a while, it took some out of town visitors to get me to the lake. My family came in from up north and we got a twelve person pontoon for the afternoon. Even though I had never driven a boat before the staff there explained everything really well and I felt real confident when we left the dock - it was easy! My grandma had made everybody sandwiches and we spent four hours just cruising the lake and seeing all the cool houses, the landscape and the damn. My nephew had fun running around the spacious boat and checking out the ducks and turtles. We didn't get in the water as it was still a bit chilly, but we had a great time anyway and I will definitely be back when it is warmer!
