My wife and I reserved a table to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Despite our early arrival, we were seated in a room behind the main dining room (the host indicated that a table wasn't available in the main room). In my opinion, this small back-room had the ambiance of an unfinished basement. I sat facing a sterile, colorless wall and my wife faced a table set for a large party. The room lighting seemed incadescent, and the hideous lineoleum-like flooring stood out. From our table, we could peer into the candle-lit dining room with live music and a fireplace; the romantic atmosphere we heard so much about and came to enjoy. Instead, we felt as if we'd been seated at the kids' table and half expected to be given a menu with a choice of hamburger or chicken fingers. Humiliated, we didn't stick around to find out.
