Orlando is blessed with almost too many Vietnamese restaurants, but Ahn Hong is my favorite. Its menu is extensive and lets you stick to your budget or treat yourself. [The best value in town is an order of their delicious summer rolls ($2.50) followed by a tofu French sub (also $2.50). You'll be stuffed!] They serve a number of vegetarian meals as well as meat, chicken, pork, and seafood dishes. I order the seafood papaya salad, anything stir fried with lemongrass and chili, the grilled shrimp rice vermicelli bowl, or the sweet and sour tofu with veges. If you ever feel like you're getting sick, let the thick, velvety broth of the duck pho work its magic. And if you're dying of a Florida heatstroke, slurp on the jackfruit smoothie or the mocha bubble tea as you watch the poor saps outside fight their way through Colonial and Mills.
