This place is simply the best restaurant in the entire city. I came in without a reservation on a very busy night and a wonderful man promptly greeted me and answered all my questions while he waited for the hostess to come to the front. I was given a table, not the best in the restaurant, but considering the crowd I was feeling lucky to be seated. The same man who greeted me at the front door was also my server and it was some of the best service I've ever had. Easy going and professional at the same time, never phoney, and while everyone was rushing around I never felt hurried as I asked my questions. The braised lamb shoulder I was steered to was an aromatic bowl of bliss. I could have eaten an entire bowl of just the garlic gloves and gnocci, it was over the top. I think the best part of the night was in ordering wine. My waiter queried me on everything, from what style I wanted to how much money wanted to spend. He then steered me to numerous options, confidently described them and kept saying things like "I could drink a bottle of this myself" and "that's going to be yummy with the lamb". Everything was perfect and I cannot wait to come back.
