If you are looking for great ambience, nice jazz and good food--Sambuca should definitely be on your list of ""Must Trys"" in Atlanta. I have been visiting Sambuca regularly for many years and it is one of my favorite places in Buckhead. I recently visited the restaurant with an Out of Town friend and he absolutely LOVED his entire experience. Although my experiences have been primarily wonderful over the years, I have noticed a number of negative reviews and I would offer a few suggestions to newcomers that I hope are helpful. First, I have found that is very useful to make a reservation in advance, as the wait can sometimes be lengthy. I also make a point to call or check the website (has detailed info on bands) to find out who will be performing on a particular night. Honestly, some groups are much better than others, so Always check first. The menu is also posted online and I have found that my guests and I usually do well by going with basics like the New York Strip, Atlantic Salmon or Sea Bass. Sambuca is NOT a fine dining restaurant and the pricing is primarily for the entertainment/atmosphere and is a little high--But worth it. Final FYI, Fridays and Saturdays have cover charges--unless you are having dinner; Parking is Valet only, but is complimentary; Sit away from the stage, but within viewing distance if you want to hear your party; and Enjoy!
Pros: Live Music, Great Ambience, Good for Dates
Cons: Service can be slow, Food can be inconsistent at times
