the wait staff is attentive and friendly. excellent warm lighting - great atmosphere which makes for good conversation. the menu had no exciting options for vegetarians - only the usual baked ziti, eggplant parm, etc. the better pasta dishes - for example pasta with shrimp, cannelli beans and spinach, or whole wheat spaghetti with squash, sage, pancetta - none of them had vegetarian options. still, when i asked for the squash spaghetti with no pancetta, they agreed without even having to ask the kitchen first. that was great. however, the dish lacked that special something without the pancetta. in general the salads are great. they even have organic greens!! (hard to find in this part of the country, although i live on the west coast where organic greens are common in good restaurants). my only very small complaint about the salads, is that the beet salad's greens were a tad bit too salty; and the organic greens salad had too many romano cheese shreds (although someone else may love this fact). the dessert menu didnt appeal to us so we didnt order anything. the coffee my friend ordered was old, and she could not drink it - however the waitress promptly made a fresh pt without question. this is a sign of a good restaurant where they really put the customer first. overall, a decent dining experience.
Pros: ambience, service
Cons: non-vegetarian options dominate the menu
