The Colorado Tick Club is a must see, an historical event.In 1908 The Mattern family ocupied the residense,Mr. John W Mattern and His wife Alice Morton Mattern,both of significant founders of Colorado and Denver.Mr J.W Mattern was a mining authority in Colorado ,Cripple Creek,George town,Leadville and his wife Alice Morton ,Daughter of JW Lewis,owner of several mines such as the Doric,Lammertine and Griffith?Saxon mines one of the true creators of Colorado settlementation,Botth resided there around the turn of the century with there children Mort And Phyllis,Mort went on to become the greatest rodeo Cowboy in 1922,in Colorado.\r John Mattern was shot to death in the parlor at the Curtis house in 1908. more
