I looked up waterside restaurants for my wife's birthday and chose this one because of the food reviews. When making a reservation, I requested a water view, and they said they couldn't guarantee however they'll note that down with my reservation.\r

When we arrived, we weren't given the water view (turns out half the restaurant's view is blocked by a condo across the street), they reminded us water views weren't guaranteed. Wonder if you have to promise the reservation lady a $20 to be able to get one?\r

However, the food and service was excellent, though a bit expensive. We ordered the Filet's ($38 apiece) , scarpaccio (very well made), crabtini (incredible too) and mashed potatoes (sides are usually for 2 people). The filet's were very tender. For dessert we had the banana cream pie (for 2), which was also amazing. Note that the food doesn't come with any sides, you have to order every item separately. Sides, desserts run about $9+ apiece.\r

Overall the food was amazing, though the place was a bit expensive. If only there was no condo across the street, the view would be unequivocally top notch (of the 30's in Manhattan). I would go there again for special occassions (and maybe consider passing the reservation lady a $20 for a view)
Pros: Great food, valet parking, great service
Cons: A bit expensive, not all seats have good views
