This establishment is piggy-backing on the name of the Boston Hotel down in Boston, NY. The Lancaster Boston Hotel has no connection and does not compare in the least to the Boston, NY restaurant. \r
The first thing we noticed was the ""Tavern"" odor. The restaurant has a very nice sign outside, but once you step through the door it is quite run down. Very cramped, amibiance does not exist. Waitresses were obviously overworked and underpaid. Food was very average and presented as ""slop"" on the plate. Prices were high for a place such as this. \r
We saw the owner as rude, obnoxious and inconsiderate to a family of 6. He was quite loud, (as well as inhibriated) when he refused to accept a gift certificate that the family presented to him. The owner didn't seem to care that other patrons were in the restaurant. \r
There are plenty of restaurants in the area and this one should be avoided. Take the extra 20 minutes and drive on down to the Boston Hotel in Boston, NY.
Pros: Cheap, mediocre food without waiting too long
Cons: Distinctive odor, food not presented well, expensive for this type of establishment
