I saw the bad review from the 9/21/06 posting and had to take a minute to say that I CAN""T DISAGREE MORE. Bearfoot Lodge and Whistle Stop has helped me raise 3 happy, healthy kids. Bearfoot staff has exceeded my expectations time and time again. They are wonderful!!!! They allow me to go to work every day and not have any concerns about my children. I have a 14 year old that has ""graduated"" from daycare and he still gets excited to see these people. My 10 year old daughter wants me to pick her up before I pick up my 3 year old just so she can run in and hug the teachers (she only goes summer and when school is on breaks). THAT TELLS ME SO MUCH MORE THAN ANY unhappy PARENT REMARK ABOVE. I am sorry I take it so personal when I saw that review, but it is because of these wonderful people (Renee included) that I am able to make a living for my family and not feel the guilt that I am not at home with them. I am thankful that I know they truly care about my child. I love to pick up my child and he have paint on him or snack on his face. It tells me that he had a great day and got to play with shaving cream or paint or had a yummy snack. I am thankful that he had such a fun day. I agree that teachers leave and new ones come in from time to time. Most are there until they get a teaching certificate or the management feels they are not right for your childs room. I am okay for that either way and thankful that they care enough to make sure my child has great teachers. I lost a teacher that I loved and I hated it, but I was so proud that she was able to finish her teaching certificate and move up. It isn't always a bad thing to lose a teacher. I am thankful for the owners. management and teaching staff at Bearfoot Lodge Private School!!
Pros: Truly loving staff and great management team!!
Cons: your children are going to like it better than home!!
