When I saw that the Chron named Dosa as one of the top 10 restaurants of 2006, I almost dropped the paper. Sure, it's got the right location and the right clientele (Mission hipsters, anyone?) but the food is nothing short of terrible. The chai was awful, the bhatura arrived cold and deflated, and the tomato chutney tastes more like Ragu than anything you'd get out of India. I'll take the long wait and plastic sporks at Vic's anytime.
