My husband and I went to the Slocum House last night for my birthday. I was expecting the restaurant to be very romantic based on the other reviews. I think the Slocum House needs a bit of an update as the interior is a bit dated. I found The Firehouse to be much more romantic. But the food was excellent....I had a lamb shank and my husband and a filet and both were excellent. The service was good but I would expect good service with the prices they charge. I would go back...for the food....not for the ambiance.
