You would never know that you are in NYC anymore. I have traveled to Morocco and eaten in the countries best known restaurants. Babouche is just as beautiful (if not more since you really appreciate the fact that Morocco came to NYC) than any of those places hidden in the alleys of Morocco's cities. The decor is for lack of a better word, outstanding. The food is good - could use some work - but I will grant them some leeway since they just opened and they are related to Barbes which has yet to fail in the gastronomical sense. I would suggest Babouche to those looking for an escape/transportation from real life or for those looking for romance.
Pros: The atmosphere is UNBELIEVABLE!
Cons: The food needs some tweaking
