Last Wednesday I brought a group of 43 (gasp!) teen-agers (really!) to a pre-arranged lunch upstairs at Babouche. I was searching for an authentic Maroccan experience for them and I was not disappointed. The service was attentive though maybe a little slow (forgiveable seeing that they just opened and there were so many of us) The decor was stunning--hand-made lacey carved wood work created by workers in Morocco, hand-decorated dishes, the color scheme on a desert sunset, beautiful lighting. The presentation of the food was excellent and the pouring of the mint tea into jewel-colored glasses was a show-stopper. The favorites were the brick appetizers, the pastilla (misspelled, by the way, on another reviewing site). The couscous was a little ordinary, and at my table it was not hot, but no one seemed to care. In all, it was a super experience and I can't wait to go back with adults! But where is their web site?? It has been ""coming soon"" for quite awile!
