I go to Accent on Dance right now. I am an 8th grader and am in the company program, which competes nationally. AOD is the best place on earth. I couldn't live without it. They make you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. They have 3 different programs that allow you to dance at many different levels. The developmental program has 9 levels and just allows the dancers to learn in a great atmosphere. There is no competing involved. Then, they have the troupe program which has 5 levels and allows a dancer to to compete regionally. The company program, which has 9 levels and allows a dancer to compete nationally. Dance Spirit magazine ranked Accent on Dance one of the top 50 studios in the nation to watch in their first issue ever. It is such a good studio. I would never trade my experience here for anything. They not only teach you how to dance, but great life lessons that help me daily. I would be nothing without Accent on Dance. It can be a bit pricy, but only if you make it that way. You can dance less hours a week and in a different program to make the price more reasonable. The people at Accent on Dance are amazing. They're all like sisters to me. I don't know what I would do if i didn't dance at Accent on Dance; but, i do know that i wouldn't be the dancer I am, or the person that I want to be. So, thank you AOD for making dance the best thing in my life.
Pros: Great studio that teaches more than just dance: it teaches the passion needed to get where you want to be in life
Cons: a bit expensive
