I stayed at Treasure Island (right before it was renamed TI) and was pleasantly surprised by the room quality. The rooms weren't luxurious but quite nice for the price. The casino itself isn't much to speak of, and we ended up spending more time at the Venetian casino than the TI casino. Yes, the hotel is close to the Venetian and next to the Mirage. For some reason the hotel seemed more smoky than some of the other large hotels in the area (but not remotely as bad as say Circus Circus). I would stay there again. I miss the old pirate theming though.\r
