In a sea of restaurants with mediocre food and terrible service, this place was a pleasant surprise. I travel to South Beach quite a bit for business and have been to most of the ?hot spots? both on and off the beach. I was looking for something a little ?off the beaten path? and my hotel recommended 510 Ocean. Man, was it different. First of all, the service is actually hospitable and professional! And second, the food was excellent! I had the crab cake to start, which was very good, and then the filet as an entree. The filet was cooked perfectly (the waiter actually listened to what I said) and the mashies were heavenly. My date doubled up on a tuna app and a tuna entree. She was very happy with the appetizer and I tasted the entree -- and it was fantastic too! I passed on desert, but my friend had some sort of chocolate cake, which was very good. Overall, it was a very fun night! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is sick of the all surface, no substance restaurants that litter Ocean and Collins!
Pros: Good food and service
Cons: It's a bit of a walk from the higher up hotels
