This is my favorite restaurant in Eugene, one of my top 3 in the northwest. It is extremely consistent and reliable and man oh man does the management know how to treat a guest. One of the Manager's there, Danny, is our favorite ""hospitality practitioner"" in the world, he always takes such good care of us, knows our usual order, and often offers an Amuse Bouche when we arrive. \r

When my family and friends from Los Angeles, where I was raised and lived most of my lfie, come to visit I always take them to dinner at Marche. They have never disappointed me, or my guests, most of whom are ""foodies"". Even compared to their usual fine dining experiences in LA they gush over the food and service at Marche admitting that it is easily on the same level with the best in Southern California. \r
\r
They have an extensive wine list which includes King Estate Pinot Gris (my favorite especially with Fish - try a bottle if you go and your order pairs well). \r

The Marche Burger is TO DIE FOR best gourmet burger I have ever had, only In-N-Out compares but they are in a different boat all together. One of my guiltiest indulgences is to place a pick up order for a pair of Marche burgers and eat them with my girlfriend in the comfort of our own home. \r

The location is prime, in the downtown 5th street market, owned by Brian Oby (spelling?) who is also the majority owner of Marche (I believe?). This restaurant is even good on Mondays and Tuesdays a couple of nights which are not traditionally good nights for dining out. \r
\r
Despite what a few other reviews here say, I find them extremely consistent and on par or exceeding most of the fine dining establishments in LA, Portland, Seattle, or any other major city in the U.S.\r

They are masters of Northwest cuisine. I make sure to eat at least one meal a week at Marche!
