You feel as if you've stepped into an old hunting lodge in Bavaria after you enter this German restaurant. A dark wood interior with crafted beams and deer and boars heads mounted on the walls. Waitresses wear traditional dirndles in this warm and cozy atmosphere. I've been to Deutschland and this food is very authentic! Huge portions (try the Jaeger Schnitzel) along with an impressive selection of fine German beer (Spaten Oktoberfest). It's hard to leave room for dessert - we were actually too stuffed the last time we were there, however, the table next to ours ordered the apple strudle and it both looked and smelled delicious! Prost!
Pros: Food, beer & atmosphere
Cons: Located out in Queens, but, worth the trip
