We always used to go to Manisha, but this bitter experience prompted me not only to advice my friends not to go there, but also formally lodge a complaint. We went to the store on Nov. 25th 20066 and looked at jewelery for about 45 minutes before we set some items aside (we were purchasing them as a gift for my friend and wanted her hubby to make the final decision). They said they couldnt hold onto the jewelery without a $50 deposit (which was fine). But they also said if we didnt give them a deposit, and came back the next day for those items, they would not show them to us even if those items had not been bought by someone else. The reason? ""they spent a lot of time showing stuff to us and dont want to waste more time showing those items to us again"" (this is a direct quote). I have NEVER come across such attitude anywhere. Who ever buys anything without looking at their choices first? We were completely upset and not surpsingly, decided not to buy anything at Manisha. The saleswoman then says to the salesguy (loudly I might add), ""see, I told you there are a waste. They didnt come here to buy anything and wasted our time"" (again, a direct quote). We were totally disgusted and horrified to say the least. A couple of other customers also left with us and let us know that they never want give such unethical stores their business. I have now lodged a formal complaint against Manisha.
