I read reviews but went anyway, because I thought they had good history & maybe they had worked out the kinks already. Our server was very nice & attentive, but she is not the chef nor manager. Our food was overcooked (shrimp, scallops, & particularly the steak ), the service was slow because they had a 30 top in one of the private rooms (again, not the servers fault) & they were short handed. Our server gave us a sample of a wine she was not quite sure about, after we asked her about the sweetness. But, to pick up our wine order, she had to go completely around the dining area to a 1/2 door between the kitchen & the bar, when the bar was only 7 steps away from our table by the front door & the tables were only about 1/4 full. The salad, though, was very good & they have good wine prices. I also really liked their Mardi Gras veggies (good spices). But, for the great food they supposedley had on the Mississippi Gulf coast --- well, they still do have some kinks to work out.
Pros: Nice ambience,service & music
Cons: most of the food
