This dessert alone is reason enough to go to Z-Tejas if you love anything chocolate. This pie is served warm with a touch of whipped cream and a sprinkling of cocoa. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. This is one of my favorite restaurants due to the general outstanding quality of the food, and the overall attentiveness of the waitstaff. My favorites on the menu include Navajo Taco with includes a layer of fried spinach that must be tasted to be believed. It's crispy without being overly greasy. The oyster shooters have been our favorite appetizer and my S.O. sweares Z's rib-eye steak with garlic mash potatoes beats any other steak in town. Yes, the inside restaurant can be loud, and occasionally the waits are long, but the food is definitely worth it!
