While Michaels does carry many items, they are often understaffed and the staff are frequently upset or in a bad mood, having a personal crisis, or just plain too busy for a polite greeting. \r I'm the sort of shopper who likes to be greeted when I walk up to the cash register, I expect a "thank you for shopping here" and an invitation to return. I also prefer if the person helping me will take the time to look me in the eye and say hello.\r Often at this store, the attendant mechanically takes my merchandise, rings it up, and tells me the total. \r I find that very impersonal. PROS: Lots of variety CONS: Poor customer service. more
