I've been to Ararat many times over the years and have always enjoyed the great food, unique environment and reasonable service. But something's changed (management maybe?) and we'll never return. I was embarrassed that we took our friend from out of town for this experience. Here's the lowdown... total dining time for 5 people with reservations was nearly two and a half hours, after seating the table I stood for five minutes while they looked for a 5th chair, the water girl couldn't handle anything unrelated to water, the waiter pushed the family style meal that included his tip and was crabby when we declined, the lamb and beef was burnt, dry, and void of flavor, had to ask multiple times for bread, dinner took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive, and we waited 25 minutes for the bill and the waiter, claiming he was too busy, was incapable of dividing the bill. Some other reviewers have applauded Ararat management for standing by their employees, as do, if in fact they're faced with an unruly, burdensome customer. Based on their behavior, I guess the staff sees us as an unruly burden. \r
