I'll never forget how I felt the first Sunday that I attended service at St. Luke the Physician after trying a number of other places in the area some sixteen years ago. It felt like coming home - at last. I had found what I was looking for - a family. My children and I felt welcome. Father Richard Maholm (now, The Late Father Maholm), was so warm and welcoming, as were the other members of the congregation that we knew then that our search for a church home was over. In spite of the ups and downs, that the church has gone through over the years, including hurricanes and other losses, we have remained strong as a family united, genuinely caring and looking out for the church and for one another. We have a new priest who has dynamic and profound methods of delivering the sermon and connecting the scriptures to our every day lives. I wish I could share what I have and what I feel with the world.
Pros: Sence of belonging, very socially comfortable and spiritually uplifting.
Cons: Can't think of one
