My boyfriend and I have tried Manzana right after it opened. Restaurant service was excellent, and the food was quite okay. At the bar, great deals are offered for happy hour on the appetizers. The beer is always cold, but always served at regular price. Now, the servers, in general are pretty bad (we recently had our first good experience with a server named Char (?)). About 3 months ago we were there on a Sunday afternoon. No servers to be found. Bartender and host both noticed us sitting there for at least 10 minutes, but no help from them arrived. After I asked the host if they had any servers available, one showed up, unapologetic and looking annoyed that we had gone asking for her. We decided Manzana was not for us. Yesterday, while waiting for a friend in Bellevue, I decided to try my luck again at Manzanas bar. This time, the Server was even worst than the first one. My food arrived before my beer (I had to go get my beer from the bartender). Then I had to go ask for another server (Char, the nice one), for fork. Then I had to go get my napkin. Then, a little too late, she showed up. No apologies offered.
Pros: Good ambience, great deals for happy hour on appetizers, cold beer
Cons: Consistently bad service at the bar ruins the whole experience (and pros)
