Prior to their much-needed patio remodel, I have to admit that we often passed this restaurant without a second glance. But I'm sorry we did. Once you're inside, this little tapas restaurant/wine bar/cooking school is wonderful! The shrimp tapas we enjoyed had to be the freshest, most plump shrimp I've ever tasted -- and the best thing is that the cook was just preparing it just a few feet away from me in the huge, homey, cooking class-style kitchen. Chef John is friendly and welcoming, and his wine list is superb. Check out live music throughout the week, and enjoy the casually upscale environment of plush couches and bistro tables. Perfect for a midweek or weekend unwind.
Pros: delicious food, great wine list, layout
Cons: larger tapas menu would be great
