The art of making a really great hamburger seems almost lost in the compact nature of today's fast-food environment. When you walk in the door of CJ's, you know immediately things are different. There is a refrigerated glass-front counter like you would normally see in a butcher shop. In it is fresh produce: heads of lettuce, whole tomatoes, whole onions, and a slab of beef. To make a burger? CJs cuts a chunk off the slab, grinds it in a ginder, rolls it by hand and mashes it into a patty! Do you remember what a real french fry is? You can stand and watch CJs take a whole Idaho potato, slice it in a slicer, and drop it down in the cooker! With a decor and music reminiscent of the 50s and 60s, you'd think you were a teenager again! Right off Exit #81 on I-40, it's the absolute BEST BURGER in the super-slab!
