When we arrived there were only a few of us in the inner (old) bar-- around since 1880. It looked like some of the original customers were still drinking there. There was also a loud jockish football crowd, a loud TV and a waitress who was... er... less than attentive. We quickly made friends with Brian, the doorman/bouncer, who proved to be an instant pal and great addition to the bar. After we moved outside, he kept an eye out for our slowly entering crew, saving more than one from missing the place.
Pros: Friendly atmosphere, great live music, great beer
