Our stay at the Ink House was good enough. The decor (wallcoverings, furniture) were of the late 1800s and early 1900s. There were many antiques on display. Overall the home was pretty clean although the bedcovers look like they could use a washing (stains). Room was on the smallish side and we could hear highway 29 traffic even with the windows closed. However, walls were thick as you could not really here the other guests. A late afternoon reception was provided consisting of crudites, crackers, cheese and wine. Very pleasant. Breakfast was a nice spread of breads, hot entree, and fruit with yogurt accompanied with tea, coffee, and OJ. Fun room in basement could use an update -- dark and musty. Hostess was polite enough, though a little standoffish. Didn't feel too much warmth throughout the stay. Made you feel like a visitor instead of a welcomed guest. Pros: Good location in wine country, reasonable price, delicious reception and breakfast Cons: Noisy (can hear highway traffic), service more
