I'll start by saying that I love Myth Restaurant (the flagship restaurant next to the cafe). The restaurant has amazing food that is making my mouth water as I type so needless to say I had high expectations for the cafe. Finally corraled a friend yesterday and arrived at 11:30 for an early and hopefuly to-die for lunch. The Cuban sandwich definitely exceeded expectations and the portion was big - great choice to share. Nabbed a bag of potato chips off the counter, but in hindsight should have ordered the ones off the menu that arrive with with cheese and lemon (i think?). The couple next to us ordered and I was jealous! The mac and cheese was pretty darn tasty, too, but the ahi salad fell short in my opinion (and my friend's too). While the portion was a good size with 5-6 nice big pieces of pristine ahi on the plate. We both felt that the fennel crust (a ton, not just a little) really over powered the ahi. I'd order again, but sans the fennel crust. There is so much more that I want to try like the chicken potpie at dinner or the bag lunch to go or a cute little chocolate cupcake covered in chocolate frosting and whoppers (what a combo!). All in all, it's a cute little neighborhood cafe that compliments Myth Restaurant. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table so for that type of operation I'd say the service is fine - quick and efficient. I'll be back for the Cuban!
Pros: Fresh, pristine ingredients.
Cons: Some of the combinations are a bit off - too much going on and takes away from dish.
