Took a Chef friend for dinner this weekend - I got the vegetarian tamales which were SO good - cheesy but not greasy and the beans were really well seasoned - friend got the salmon and loved it!! said it was perfectly cooked, and also commented on the portion size- and only $15! It was nice to be able to take a foodie somewhere for real mexican food, and impress them without paying $$$. the salsa /queso trio was really good too - REAL queso - not crappy melted cheese like in most H/wood restaurants. heard the people next to us say the margaritas were great, but we drank wine, which was actually good too. Staff were attentive and didn't rush us out when we were done.. a really good night!
