Last night I had the best meal of my life at Equinox. I am still dreaming of those mushroom wontons with the lemon verbena dip, and the spinach salad with warm bacon and chevre cheese, and that NY steak with gorgonzola mashed potatoes. . . I was in heaven. Come to find out the the owner and chef trained at Maxims in Paris, and was Hough Hefners private chef. I had no idea that the chef here had these kind of credentials. If you haven't tried it yet- you have to. What a great find in North Portland.
