after talking to the concierge/hotel clerk and several other locals and being recommended this place by all of them as the ""nicest restaurant in Big Bear"", we thought we'd get a decent meal. the kitschy cabin had several rooms on 2 floors. dinner came with mediocre chowder and salad. we ordered the ""anchor's aweigh"" ($32, filet stuffed with crabmeat); the steaks were actually decent, the crab was dry and resembled fake crabmeat. the lobster tail ($39) was overcooked and rubbery. we didn't bother with dessert. i guess we were expecting a little much from a little town like Big Bear.
Cons: overpriced food, overcooked
