Yes, the out-of-towner's review is correct: when you go to the MN Blues Cafe, you're going to mingle with a lot of east siders - and most are older than 35. But's that's the charm of the place - it ain't uptown; it ain't 7th avenue; it's the east side. The music is always good, and the men and women are average. No pretty people here; no plastic people here. I know that older guy, the one who dances with the women, and yes, he is about 80-years-old. I wouldn't want him gyrating in my face, but he has danced with many women and he's fun to watch. I've seen some amazing blues players there, and it is a fun place to go if you are alone.
Cons: too much smoke, hard to park
