We were greeted @ the door by an extremely personable & professional host. We did not make reservations, yet he seated us promptly & in the beautiful garden room. The decor is spectacular & the upscale yet down-to-earth service continued to impress. The 3-course lunch is very affordable & they were running a 25-cent martini special. The martinis (4 per person max) were delicious and not watered down. Each of us ordered different entrees and sampled from one another: fried oysters, turtle soup, alligator sausage, grilled mahi mahi, fried catfish, gumbo, etc. This is Creole cuisine @ its finest - seafood fresh & cooked to perfection, flavors bold yet not heavy, etc. Do yourself a favor & do not miss the dining experience @ Commander's Palace
Pros: fine service, fine cuisine, fine ambience
