The ""in training"" server was a little distracting, but otherwise the ambience was fresh and very comfortable. I especially liked not being cramped. The menu was perfect for a romantic personal experience. A fresh and new addition to Portland Italian cuisine, and far more impressive than I expected at such an affordable prices.
Someone who survives on super sizing might be disappointed in the portions, but I found the entire dining experience a gem is easy to see why the Willamette Weekly thought so highly of them.
Pros: spacious, wine list, not expensive
Cons: Hawthorne trafic, no Johnny Walker, closed Sundays
