Within the first two weeks, we kept track of how many cockroaches we found and killed (not to mention the ones we didn't get). Our total was over 85. We found 6 within the first forty minutes of moving in. The first time we were told that an exterminator would come, a maintenance man with two cans of Raid showed up. We were told by our leasing consultant that our rent would be compensated for as long as we had a roach problem. This never happened. We've had the following issues with our apartment: a crack along the doorframe where air/light escapes/enters (unfixed), broken toilet, blown kitchen lights (twice), broken dishwasher, broken garbage disposal, dysfunctional bathtub drain, ceiling leak during heavy rain (unfixed!!), etc. We were given no front "lawn" area, because one of the larger trees in the neighborhood/complex grows there. A large tree branch from said tree fell and dented/scratched my car. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
