In the funky old strip-mall capital of Anchorage - Muldoon - is funky old Mudoon Pizza. They still have a distinctly 70's menu and old experienced ovens.
Not for the prom dinner or the marriage proposal, but great for kids and families looking for affordable food - and great takeout, and what may be the most satisfying pizza in Anchorage for the serious joneser.
Casual? - thy name is Muldoon Pizza. The usual offerings of spaghetti, lasagna, etc. All pretty good and very affordable. Attentive service and family ownership/management make it work. Great for kids - if they play around or drop food on the floor, no problem!
Takeout - fast service and the price is great compared to the chain competition - eat for most of a week on the jumbo ""Super Special"" which has everything but the kitchen sink and a crust to die for.
Pros: pizza - Super Special, price, casual
Cons: no strolling violin, nobody selling roses, no maitre de's
