I took two friends there for dinner one night, and with the exception of the dish I ordered, the pappardelle with wild boar sauce, we thought the food was just 'okay' compared to a very few select restaurants here in Los Angeles. I won't mention them here, but for the prices Piccolo charges, you can do far better in Santa Monica. There were few offerings in the dessert category, and the one we selected wasn't a disappointment, just nothing very special. I also think their corkage fee is excessive.
