Don't go by the ambiance, or wait staff (this is Queens for crying out loud). The food is excellent. You're going there for the food!!! The best moussaka and beef gyros (be sure to order extra tzanziki sauce). Thin crust pita pizza's a really popular as well. Also, their half lemon chicken is to die for - juciest white meat imaginable. Try the a caral of their house wine to compliment the cuisine. I have been going to Pinocchio's for quiet some time now (about 2 years) and have always been happy with the food.
