I shopped at Whole Foods - Porter Ranch, CA on 08/17/2005 between 6.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. I wanted ground pork from the meat department and asked the WF employee to grind some pork chops for me. He put the meat on the scale - it showed 1.09 lb at $ 7.29 per lb. After grinding it he did not confirm the weight of the grounded meat in front of me. I also bought ground beef which showed 1.07lb at time of purchase. When I went home and compared the 2 packages, the beef seemed much heavier. I weighted them on my kitchen scale the pork showed 14 oz and the beef was 1.07lb. With the prices of meat at Whole Foods stores I expect the highest quality of customer service and definitely I dont expect to be lied to from the Whole Foods employees.
