The Thrifty Quaker has that ""store of yesteryear"" feel. It reminds you of a small-town proprietor. Run by local Quakers, the store has the best prices I have ever seen in a thrift store, yet the quality of the merchandise is excellent. Free donuts and coffee await customers. Flawed merchandise is returnable (unheard of for thrift stores). The best thing is that all proceeds benefit local charities. The store changes benefitting charities each month. Definitely worth the ride to Midlothian!!
