Having grown up in Miami, I remember when Variety Children's Hospital was the only children's hospital in town. It has grown and grown, changed names and grown some more since then. Although Baptist Hospital now has Baptist Children's Hospital, I still think Miami Children's Hospital is the best children's hospital. When my grandson was born with a cleft palate, he was transferred here within hours of his birth. He has now had several operations at Miami Children's Hospital and goes there for speech therapy. There is a team of doctors and pathologists who meet to determine the best method of treatment for him. We've been very happy with the care he's received from everyone at Miami Children's Hospital.
