John's is a neighborhod institution and has served the lower Greenville, M Streets clientele for over 25 years. The lunches are great, but John's is best known for the great breakfasts served at a very modest price. You do have to wait for a table on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and share tables with strangers while you're at it! But this is one of the many things that endears John's to it's many, many regular customers. I drive almost 30 minutes from the suburbs to eat there on the weekend.
