Whenever I'm in Chicago, the first place I go to eat is the Dixie Kitchen. I usually try to squeeze two to three visits when I'm there. I think I come to Chicago for this wonderful best kept Chicagoland secret. The food has always been great, flavorful, fresh and presented by delightful servers. The deserts are awesome and overfilling!!! I usually order the catfish which always comes out fried to perfection. But its the fried green tomatoes.. they are great!! I recommend this restaurant and the tomatoes to everyone who visits Chicago.. its a must visit even before you go to the Navy Pier.
Pros: food, servers
Cons: Parking
