Skip the squash appetizer - ours was a bland, greasy mess. The club steak, however, was wonderful! Even though the steak was excellent, the overall experience was disappointing. The waiter and bartender were completely incompetent. Our drinks were made incorrectly, and the bartender refused to re-make them. We never saw our waiter (dinner for two lasted three hours). Finally, we were not asked if we wanted dessert. Instead, the waiter threw the dessert menus at us and walked away without saying a word. We ordered the beignets, which were decent (at best).
In short, there are plenty of places to get a good steak in LA. Neither my date nor I will be back to this restaurant, given the deplorable service and mediocre appetizers.
