I have found that when you know exactly what you want and don't need any help Home Depot is a good place to shop. Once you need help, that's where everything starts going wrong. I recently requested an estimate for a new front door. They had me pay $30 to have someone come measure my door. Two days later they called and told me to come into the store. When I came in I had to wait 1 hour after requesting help in the millwork department. When I got help, the employee, Chris, was on the phone with someone while talking to me. He couldn't find the measurement that had been done by the contractor for about 10 minutes, and tried to give me an estimate without it. I found this extremely unprofessional, not to mention, if they didn't need the measurement, why did I have to pay for it!! PROS: none CONS: wasted my time, lost paperwork, unprofessional more
