La Familia was one of my favorite places for cheap eats when I was a student at KU. The restaurant is short on atmosphere, with two small rooms full of booths at a kitchen at the back. But the food is delicious, and much more authentic than any chain restaurant. The menu offers countless combinations - the hardest part will be choosing one! Good service, great value.
